Confessions of a Dangerous Man

Tony Faulkner has been recording sound (mostly classical) professionally for over 40 years (over 3000 recordings). His recordings are regularly at the top of the classical charts, including one that was at number one for over 9 months (Gorecki Symphony No.3).  Tony worked for the legend that was Angus McKenzie (whose writings I remember as an audio obsessed teenager), has lectured at some of the best Universities and courses around the globe (incl Tonmeister at Surrey). He has consulted and worked with equipment manufacturers and designers (eg Rode), as well as running in house audio and video within major record companies (Enigma, Warner, Sony Classics). For the last 20+ years Tony has run his own company, Green Room Productions, offering himself as an independent classical recording engineer for audio and video productions in HD and 4K.

Tony Faulkner is quite literally a living legend of classical music recording. He will be talking about his career, his techniques, the kit he has used, and currently uses, and of course there will be the odd amusing tale of things that can happen.........

AGM 2018

The AGM will be brief as usual and precede the talk by Tony Faulkner.
